As said before, Akiri believes and greatly respects magic. Being a Nreolian, her family (especially her grandma) knew ancient voodoo rituals and taught her how to do them. She spends a good part of her free time practicing to bring good luck from the ancient spirits. It'll help her for the tournament!
As for her Pokemon, Sanka, despite his usually grumpy nature, is always willing to help her and is very interested in rituals. Maliki just looks, she's not very interested in theirmethods to ask for good luck. And Tallulah....she spends most of her time thinking...
