I like this one better that the other one. The color from the background is more visually interesting--catches the eye. The focal plane runs from upper right to lower left, opposite of the color gradient. It makes me dart my eyes around looking at all the image rather than just a single element--which is all to often what happens in macro photography.

I love the image. The crystals are amazing and you did a beautiful job bringing out the detail.

I think this one is more successful because the focal point is more centralized, yet a little off center at the same time, and the addition of the gold tones make it more mystical.
