Wildlife shots like this amaze me. One does not see, in a more common capture of an owl, how thick and strong their non-feathery bodily features are. Grand how some can capture these.

They're indeed amazing. When I was in eighth grade, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a local nature museum. They had a few hawks and owls that they cared for. Most were injured or had become dependent on humans. While most of the job involved cleaning their cages and making sure they had food and water, occasionally we'd have the opportunity to do a flying demonstration for the visitors.
They're very strong. I learned that when one of the birds walked up my outstretched arm and off the leather glove. Ouch!
But then, the bird flapped his wings and I was shocked by how utterly lightweight he became. He actually lifted my arm as he prepared to fly to the other volunteer.
I still remember that like it was yesterday.

Perceiving the flights of birds of pray must be incredible to behold. I do not know why one (or just me) figures owls to be skinny and thin-boned when it comes to their skeletons, this seems to be highly not the case.

Out of all the images that I had notifications for, this one really popped out to me. I love the colours, lighting, and the intensity of it. It's a beautiful piece!
