Wolfie and Jackie is actually an AU Family nickname given by Velvet. Little Velvet is adopted daughter to her Wolfie and Jackie.

Yes. "Shitty wolf" is a very intimateΒ nickname that Zero gives to Gadget. And Gadget doesn't mind it.Β
Yeah, it centered around little Velvet. Long story short. Wolfie and Jackie becomes parents to little Velvet whom her mother left her to an orphanage and also left her a scar on her head. Wolfie is like the fun dad while Jackie is one those standoffish thatΒ you like where he tells you sweet sentiment of being strong and happy for him.Β
I had a mini comic of it but I only showed it to the Infidget fans at the discord server. I'll find some time to post it here if you like.Β

Yes. U interpret it right. Her mom basically poured hot water onto her. Which was why Velvet was sent to the orphanage because her mom is a bit mentally sick. It's the usual Japanese family premise where the husband died, mom go depressed and the child affected sort of thing.Β
So when Jackie and Wolfie visited the orphanage to adopt a kid. Wolfie thinks its best for Jackie to decide the kid since Wolfie is okay with any kid. So when Jackie accidentally stepped onto a jackal plush and pick it up, little Velvet was there, trying to find her missing plush. And when Jackie returns it to her, her instant reaction when she sees the jackal is she freaking cried XD And that's how both of them decided to adopt Velvet.
The caretaker (either Amy or Blaze) told them Velvet was wishing for a knight in shining armor to save her and the only hope she had was the plush that her dad left her.Β
