Look what I made. :3 [Hat completely made by my own hand]Materials used: Black and white fabric, black lace, little hooks, black and white satin ribbons, a little white satin rose, hair clips. Hot glue, cardboard etc.
This hat was the hardest to make for now, and it took some 4 and a half hours, I think. Can't really be sure, I was making it on and off during the evening.
The top and brim of the hat are black, while the height is white with a part of it covered in black lace. The part that isn't covered in black lace is made to resemble/remind you a corset. The bows and rose are self-explanatory.
Hat attachable via hair clips.My favorite hat I've made. :3

Well, live size top hats are still only in my head at the moment. I'm just not too sure that cardboard would be the best material for a live size top hat, and I'm not sure that I can get the materials needed for a sturdy one made out of buckram [is that the name?]. But if you're interested in this hat, I can get it up on my etsy by tomorrow evening [~24h]. ^^ Did I understand your question correctly?

as a hat maker myself just a tip for the future if you get hair extenshion clip and use it as a hat clip. it just stays on your head untill you unclip it . I havent seen any other clips doing better job for me plus Im sure you can get them for pretty cheap anywhere
