It's all in the wrist; you just have to throw the card right.

4KIDS FAIL

That's not 4KIDS' doing. That is the original Japanese animators.

Ohhh...Well, if it happens in the movies, it can happen in anime. (I'm talking errors, here.)

Well, there's only ONE explination. Magic, and lots of it. The end.

A cop on a motorcycle would not have a Styrofoam helmet XD

Actually, they do rip through skin. Seto Kaiba once threw a card at a baddie and it sliced his hand. They edited out the blood in 4Kids, but it's in the original airing.

Either way, it still doesn't explain the other stuff

steel cards maybe in the future the cards will be made in metal to scan it easily

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AxelHenson In reply to JosD [2012-10-23 19:55:18 +0000 UTC]

But how do people rip metal so easily and how come it sounds like paper when you rip it? It still makes no sense 8D

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JosD In reply to AxelHenson [2012-10-24 04:08:04 +0000 UTC]

try Aluminium foil, is made of metal and very thin, but modified it could be dangerous if got cutted in your throat

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AxelHenson In reply to JosD [2012-10-24 15:07:19 +0000 UTC]

Still doesn't make sense that the cards would sound like paper when ripped.

It just goes to show that someone who was writing for the show either didn't know anything about physics, was lazy, or was doing drugs. Or all three

allen-mikk [2012-10-13 06:34:07 +0000 UTC]

you think that makes no sense?
Kaiba stopped a gun from firing WITH A TRADING CARD.

Kaiba is a Highlander. So it makes sense to me.

allen-mikk In reply to AxelHenson [2012-10-13 15:16:01 +0000 UTC]

Ok, howabout this?
one of those 'dark signer' guys cut through two thick iron chains by lightly throwing a card.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AxelHenson In reply to allen-mikk [2012-10-13 16:41:26 +0000 UTC]

That's what doesn't make sense; The cards themselves. Apparently those fucking things are dangerous weapons that can cut through anything, except flesh, and people can just rip those things like paper.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

allen-mikk In reply to AxelHenson [2012-10-14 05:01:53 +0000 UTC]

well, in-universe cards possess varying levels of power, perhaps their mystic mojo turns them into weapons.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AxelHenson In reply to allen-mikk [2012-10-14 15:07:02 +0000 UTC]

Either that or it's just lazy writing

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

allen-mikk In reply to AxelHenson [2012-10-14 15:47:45 +0000 UTC]

It's a spin off of a show about card games. of course it has lazy writing. Hell, the only one in recent memory that doesn't is Cardfight! Vanguard, which is bloody awesome.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AxelHenson In reply to allen-mikk [2012-10-14 19:22:32 +0000 UTC]

Yugioh, from the very beginning, had lots of lazy writing XD

That's the thing about Yu-Gi-Oh!: You do not question the logic, no matter how messed up it gets. Because eventually, someone will make fun of it in any way, shape or form.

anime= Gravity defying hair, things out of thin air and over reacted movements.
And you're only wondering about this? XD

AxelHenson In reply to BladerGirl101 [2012-04-24 22:48:36 +0000 UTC]

I've see those three things you mentioned many times in my life, pal. This one thing doesn't make sense to me is all XD

BladerGirl101 In reply to AxelHenson [2012-04-24 23:42:08 +0000 UTC]

I'm guessing either that's one hard paper card of very bad helmet...

jnkwarrior [2012-02-07 23:03:41 +0000 UTC]

Clearly the cards being thrown are different than the ones being played

AxelHenson In reply to jnkwarrior [2012-02-07 23:15:01 +0000 UTC]

uhh, in one episode, in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Kaiba clearly throws a card from his deck that he had still in his duel disk. I think that just throws your theory out the window. Sorry.
