Description In the hot streets of Macau, sometimes one just needs to sit down a little and take a break, take a rest, listen to nothing and feel nothing, except the breeze drying clothes and the sun pervading the tiny dead-ends.

i like the rustic feel of the photo, like it captures the moment in a dreamy sort of way. the softer focus is pretty awesome. it's reminiscent of the plastic lens cameras, like the diana or holga. the framing is just terrific with all the interesting lines. i love how wide this shot is and still have all that great detail in it.

Thank you My eye was caught by the old lady, I loved how it worked with the laundry drying in the house behind. Macau is a very fascinating place in fact, it has a very modern and glittery side with all the casinos, but the old town is really amazing, with all the small houses, winding streets and real people wandering around. So moody...

I think you've captured the atmosphere well here... further accentuated through the black and white contrast.

I do feel as if you've timed it well too, especially with the person not looking at us. It gives it more of a touch of realism.

As a side note, I think all of your photos are brilliant, and they don't need too much work on them... If you carry on as you are, I think you'll progress at a good rate.

But yes, back to the piece, I do feel you could increase the contrast a bit. It's a small shame it's not as focused as it could be as well, but the positioning of the camera is brilliant and it really isn't that bad overall, concept wise.

Wow. I'm afraid I'm skeaking like a fangirl right now...

First of all, thank you so much for your time!
Second, I feel sort of blessed, I was expecting to get spanked at every picture and I receive such a lot of kind words, it's really... yes, it's extremely encouraging.
I'm really honoured that you took some time to look at my work, and found there were not only bad things to say about it.

Thank you again, I'm going to get back to work with an even bigger motivation now

P.S. I've tried to edit Foliage with a less "fluo" look to it. For this pic, it's a bit more complicated to handle because it's shot on film :/

No worries.

I try to pair up positives and negatives... Honestly, I'll say more positive stuff than negative, unless the piece is really, really bad, and your pieces aren't that. I think you have some good potential.

Ooh... that would make sense.
