I really like your idea for this shot, very nicely thought out indeed and I think the texture in it is fantastic. I really like the colour as well, very well suits the scene.

A few things that I find distracting are the branch that's out of focus, you could have tried to get that in focus or even get rid of it to balance the image more. I notice you didn't obviously shoot this with a tripod cause the frame is titled which is rather annoying because simple shots like this need to be executed perfectly in my opinion. That's about all I see that needs improving!

Just work more on the execution rather than the technique, I think is best to do.
