I tried to get rid of the glare but it seems I wasn’t 100% successful. =’( Ah, well. It looks better in person. I need to remember to bring my new camera with me to shows so I’m not using my cell phone anymore.
Client’s dog. A lot of people wanted animal drawings this time, actually, which was cool. 
I'm going to be putting up a lot of new work soon, I've been working on a bunch of paintings and have a few drawings in the making.

I wish I could've drawn him from real life!! I always have to draw dogs and children from pictures - they never stay still long enough for me to get a good rendering of them. lol Except maybe if they're asleep.

It's very challenging to draw dogs and kids from real life, especially if it's more than the most basic of sketches. I've been struggling with that problem for a while now, but I'm trying to practice! When I see drawings from old explorers of the native animals they encountered, I marvel at how they were able to capture a likeness from true life moving animals. It's tough!

I had a shih-tzu, they're such well-behaved, sweet dogs... he will remain forever in my heart, love this drawing!

this is.. actually just saw this post on FB lol, this is hard... XD i mean difficult. I only did a bird once on digital.. i think i really need to learn about dogs too.. or other furry non feathered animal.

I think she just looks small because of the angle, the owner said she's 14 if I remember correctly.

Thanks! It was about five hours, actually. It's pretty small, though (5x7) so I dunno. Definitely ate through a lot of lead. lol

haha I've taken to working from the top left corner down to avoid that, now, actually. Just cuz when your hand gets silver it means you're probably messing up some part of your drawing and tracking it over the whole damn image - I aint tryin to do that. lol
