"As if to prove her assumption, a tall man who obviously wasn’t watching where he was going nearly collided with her. Kagome gasped as she teetered on her wooden sandals, but the masked man reached out and steadied her. His hand lingered briefly at her elbow, and then he murmured a hasty, “Excuse me,” before striding away.She watched him go, her melancholy momentarily forgotten as the echo of a memory tugged at her heart. He reminded her of the past, somehow. I wonder why? Maybe it’s simply that he’s wearing a yukata? Or is it the long hair?"

Yeah that is Sesshoumaru with Kagome. In forthright's story Sesshoumaru is hiding his demon heritage so his hair is black instead of the pretty pretty silver we all love so much.

Pale Shadows is, by far, one of my favorites from her. I LOVED how she depicted InuPapa-sama!!

I don't think he would like it very much at all. Sesshoumaru is a proud demon lord. But he is also one who has the determination to survive. Especially if he has something to live for, like in this wonderful fanfic.

i think if your really going to go for the white base you might as well extend it to the neck n_n
doing the eyes lips and strong red blush up by the eyes can give a nice traditional yet not totally painted look too

*nods* thanks ^^ I think I know what you mean form the references I looked at. A saw a beautiful back view of the geisha makeup. They do such a lovely u shape on the neck. I might be able to show that from the side. The hair isn't traditional up-do either. But I don't think I can draw that. LoL. Thanks for your advice. ^^

^^ It is one of the most beautiful fanfictions I have read. It is funny, sweet, and she writes the best Inupapa!! I plan on doing more illustrations of this wonderful story. Forthright has done so many great fics I love her writing style. I only hope I did her story justice.

Yes she is able to capture moment and scenes so brilliantly in a wonderful simplistic way. She dose not laden her stories down with to much description yet you still are able to strongly visualize the scene as it unfolds.
