It was dark outside. The silence of the forest pressing in on the trio of gros. Two blue, and one shifting slowly inside it's egg. The blues gros cuddled up in the tent were sound asleep as the egg started to slowly rock. It pulsed with warm red light, rocking faster. The forest stayed silent, there was no alert to the hatching egg, even as the larger gro sat up, the egg was still rocking frantically. Than it stopped. The red glow dimmed. But it didn't make any sense, the egg was hatching, why had it stopped? Gentle hands picked up the egg, tapping on the shell. There was a response, the egg glowed yet again. It was set on the ground, more tapping, more glowing, dull wiggling from within. Than a leg kicked out part of the shell. Another followed, shaking and rocking the egg cracked and cracked until an exhausted wyngling lay on the ground, weakly raising it's head to look up at the larger blue gro. He had hatched. Filly.
