This was actually taken by me!
I found a fallen down tree and set my camera on it and used the self timer.
I didn't expect the photo to come out the way it did.

I use such a crappy camera to be honest.
I just make sure I process them really well and what not.
I can't wait until I can afford a canon.
I'll have the tripod and a remote and everything.

where do you put it after you hit the self-timer, though? i mean, you get such great angles, it's like someone else is holding the camera.

With this particular picture I put the camera on a fallen down tree.
I just find things to set my camera on and hope for the best.
I usually look at the screen and figure out where to stand/pose so that
I'm actually in the picture. I'd have to say that the pictures I take with
the self timer are pure luck.

i recently tried a self-timer portrait. it is a lot harder than it looks. especially since i don't want to put my face on the site(because i'm ugly), which means i will end up not seeing the camera, i have to guess and plan a lot of it out first. it's hard.

trust me. my whole face juts out below the nose, which is too big. i let my sister try to pluck my eyebrows, so now i'm missing half my eyebrows. i have big, thick glasses. my hips are huge, and so are my thighs. i have no muscle tone at all; i'm all fat. my jaw is too square, my cheeks have no volume to them at all, and to top it all off, i have acne problems. yea. i'm ugly.

imperfections you can still be beautiful. I am not perfect
I edit my photos and try to hide my flaws. I'm short, I hate my smile,
I'm not thin, and you wouldn't guess but I have acne problems too.
I have had acne for over 3 years. I'm really really self conscious about my face/skin.
I still have to learn to love myself because I was born this way. It's easier said than done.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do about yourself. I really bet you're not ugly.

... thank you so much. you nade my eyes water when i read that. i find only two redeeming qualities about myself: my hair color and my eyes. i don't even know how to edit photos, so i don't bother.
ok, so here's what i want to do: i can take a self-portrait of myself, and i'll put it in my scraps. i may just be harsh on myself because i look at myself so much, i see all my flaws. (although i am pretty obnoxious on a regular basis ^_^) but you bethe judge. i'll try to get it up before christmas. thank you so much again!
