The funny thing about this is that I have always viewed the relationship between Optimus and Rodimus as being a father/son type of thing. Throw in the continuities where Ultra Magnus is Optimus' brother and mix in the Optimus/Elita relationship, and we have a whole family of Autobot leaders. But that's just my opinion.

The weird thing is the only reason Robimus and Arcee have a thing at all is because when the G1 movie was being made Arcee was written as Springers girlfriend but Arcees voice actor Susan Blu like Hot Rod way more then Springer so she played it off as a love triangle.
