The sky and the lightning were the focus of this exercise, and I probably should have put a lot more emphasis on them. The horizon ended up a little too high and because of that the stream ended up being much bigger than I had intended. The purple in the sky also really doesn't stand out all that well because the color I ended up mixing was a little too diffuse; I prefer vibrant, over-saturated color even though it can end up looking surreal or exaggerated. But overall I'm happy with this. I definitely need more work on foliage and trees, and my strength is definitely sky and galactic-type art. I'll probably try another one like Amatsu Kitsune next. But this is okay for being done without any reference, I think.
