Wow, that is one extreme look! It works so well though, the harsh lines and scales represent lightning so well. I'm also very fond of that touch of purple you added, makes it look mystical as well. The extreme look does make it hard for me to figure out the anatomy of this fellow. I can't really figure out where his eyes are (he does have them, right?), if that bright tail behind him is truly a tail, or how his wings are connected to his body. it's a bit of a puzzle to look at, but an awesome puzzle though! I mean, look at that lighting, that alone looks awesome enough to keep staring at it. And that in just 9 hours (I consider everything below 10 to be quick

He is indeed rather nebulous. Even I have to work out his anatomy... oops.
He does have eyes - I've changed the resolution so you can zoom all the way in now XD.
The bright tail is a tail! And I'm glad you find it interesting.
I'm rather surprised, considering I consider anything below 2 hours fast, around 5 hours normal, and 6+ hours slow. But I guess that's how you get all your detail in there - I'm just impatient.

ohh, now I see them! awesome! I thought they were simple purple dots at first, but they have white circles and such
I cheat though, I pull out texture brushes and only make it look like I painted all the details individually. I'm stepping away from that a bit because you can often tell I did that. Still, I am terribly slow :')
