Stunning. That's the best way for me to sum this picture up: stunning. The level of detail is so crisp and textured that, upon squinting my eyes, this nearly resembles a photograph. I feel like I could sink my hand into the rippling water, or grasp the lone water lily in the foreground, or even brush the thick fur on the character's head and upper torso.
The background is a wonderful picture in its own merit, because of the colors and the lighting used. Adding the character just makes it seem that much more complete. The fur seems to change colors as it sits submerged in the water, almost as if the character is a forest spirit that's rising from the water and taking vulpine form.
