Preview shot of my sis as the Courtesan from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.Many thanks to our photographer- and to tasukigirl for her tips on how to do the trim. We didn't do everything she said...but having that input definitely helped us brainstorm when we were kinda lost on some things.
More shots to come when my sis finishes the fan(this was a stand-in).
And for those asking, yes she made the costume from scratch..the clothing, belts, and fan bag on her leg. The shoes and gloves were bought, but then heavily modified. It all took about 5 days(she likes to procrastinate, lol).

It depends. I mean, we'll do our best to help of course, but I don't know how much help we'll be. What do you need pointers on exactly? (and not the shoes, because we always buy, not make, our cosplay shoes)
Just let me know, and I'll try to help, or else I'll ask my sister how she did it if I don't know how she did a certain part.

Well, she didn't use any pattern... For the top she just cut it into the shape that it looks like but I guess a shirt pattern might help you get the idea of where to stitch everything together if you need one. I guess buy a V-neck shirt pattern if you need a pattern and work off that. Same for the white shirt underneath.
The bottom is pink shorts so a pattern should be easy to find. Then the weirdo hanging 'skirt' things on both sides are just rectangular shapes she cut out, double-layered with white linen in between the 2 pink layers. They fold at the top into the shorts, and that's how they stay up. The blue skirt wrap thing is really just a folded piece of fabric sewn in the shape of a skirt.
The white shirt, pink shirt, pink shorts, blue skirt/wrap, and 2 hanging pink skirt things are all separate pieces.
I don't know if any of that helped you..but my sister never uses patterns.

Well it's actually my sister; she did the Courtesan and I did the Thief.
But yes, she made it all except for the boots and the gloves(which she had to change a lot on). But all the clothing she is wearing is 100% made from scratch. It's kind of amazing really. She managed to do all of this in about 5 days.

And..lmao... 'get it'?... She didn't get it anywhere. My sister made every single thing on her body, except for the shoes and the base gloves(she had to change and add a bunch to them though). So yep. Everything was made by hand.

Really beautiful, one of the best, if not the best, courtesan cosplay I've ever seen! So many of the details are perfect, such as the beads on the top and the straps on her leg. Can't wait to see some more shots with the fan.

Well...you don't have to miss it. We plan on wearing our Assassin's Creed costumes to NYCC either Saturday or Sunday(she has school Friday, so since there's no law school I guess I'm going alone on that day).
You can always call us up, and we can chat for a little while, as you stand there in shock and awe of Steph's costuming abilities and beauty. Lol, joking, joking. But it would be good to see you and say hi, since we didn't at Otakon so...yeah just call me anytime that weekend and you won't miss it again.
