Description This is my t-shirt quilt that I made! I used some of my old t-shirts that I don't wear very much any more and put them together. It was a lot of work but was fun! Well worth it in the end also. I put fleece on the back of it to make it heavier and to be warmer. So far it works well as a blanket and I love it! D One of my friends wants me to make them one too now. (:

Careful, once you start making them for others you might just decide you really like it.  There is so much to quilting and piecing and everything that goes with it out there.  You could find a world of fun.

That is so true. It is a lot of work cutting all the pieces out. My friend had over 40 shirts that she wanted me to cut out it seemed like and it took from like 7 to midnight for me to finish cutting them out. It was crazy! However, I enjoy sewing so I really wouldn't mind making them. I would have liked to have made mine bigger but I didn't have enough t-shirts to do so.

I've found that a rotary cutter makes the cutting of just about everything so much faster.  I wouldn't still be making quilts if I had to cut fabric with regular scissors all the time.

I do own a rotary cutter! I love using it, it makes life a heck of a lot easier!

I can't imagine what live would be like without it.  I must be keeping Fiskars in business with all the blades I buy from them.
