From quite a while ago, Otakon of 2010 I think!

Not sure if I've submitted any pictures of my Syaoran costume here, so here it is! My friend at the time (now gf >D) was planning a Sakura costume and figuring I'd make a decent Syaoran, decided to go with her!

I had many adventures in new territory with this costume, I think this counts as my first pair of pants which was fucking HARD but I think turned out alright. The goggles on the head were from a popular Steampunk store on ebay, but since Syaoran apparently needs two pairs, the "goggle covers" as I like to call them around my neck are made of foamies. >D The cape was fun to singe at the edges, and the staff was crazy difficult and, as you can see, incomplete. While the whole thing was made out of wood, including the sun that should be there, I realized only after getting to the con that the rigid wooden sun wouldn't fit and lay properly on the rest of the staff, so I left it off. Someday I'll work on that, as the bottom of the staff is incomplete as well.
