Description
Had some fun at work drawing until little bit at a time this emerged.It reminds me of autumn, folklore, quiet woods and growing things. I miss places like that.

This time I didn't start out with a thumbnail. I just had an idea in my head and I drew up the lines for the illustration edges on my paper, then began by putting in the guy lightly. Then moved up above him into the trees. I find that my best artwork tends to just come as I go. I wanted a folklorish/mysterious look to it, and I love nature, so as I drew the guy I just decided as I went to put the growth around him and the trees and such. It was just the idea of what shapes would look good and then taking the time to add the detail necessary. It was unplanned, but I would say most the time it is better to plan out your images through thumbnails and value sketches first.
