Description
Decided to start a series at long last creating realistic re-imaginings of Metroid characters and creatures, my starting point, Ridley! to accompany these images i plan to write a short bio below each to give some depth and information about said characters. Hope you all enjoy and please give credit if shared.

-Subject Information-

Sole survivor of an attempted genocide of his people, Ridley, a hexapodal sentient lifeform in command of the military of the Urtragian – Zebesian joint Space Pirate organization. After repeated conflict with the yet unnamed species, Galactic Federation command deemed the “Space Dragons” to be too large of a threat and were able to successfully strike a settled planet under the species’ control whipping them from the surface.

This was the first decision made by the newly formed Galactic Federation and a highly controversial one among the galactic community. However, files and witness accounts stated that some managed to survive, these sightings were believed to be hoaxes until they were confirmed in Galactic Standard Year (GSY) 2061, when a pirate raid lead by a member of the draconic race; named Ridley, whipped out the settlement on the planet K-2L, The only known survivor of which being a young Samus Aran, who was discovered by the enigmatic Chozo in a relief effort.

Ridley is a tenacious, ruthless, individual who seems to have several driving motivations behind his attacks on Federation Space, one of which most certainly being the attack against his kind by the G.F Military. Based on data recovered by Samus Aran, Ridley has a vested interest in recovering the Metroids for his own means, after learning of their use by the corrupted super computer “Mother Brain”. Secondly, Ridley seems to be in his twilight years, as his body displays similar signs to human muscle atrophy typically seen in old age. If the existence of “Mecha Ridley”, discovered by Samus Aran, is any indication, Ridley may be attempting to produce an immortal body to continue life as a machine. Dozens of encounters with the G.F and Samus Aran have left him near death, however he seems to always avoid meeting his end. That is until his final confrontation with the Bounty Hunter, Samus, in 2079 GSY who finally succeeded in doing in Ridley once and for all.

-Capabilities-

Ridley may seem to be a mindless beast, and countless have met their end due to believing this faulty information, Ridley possesses a great level of intelligence. A brutal killer and effective strategist, Ridley seems to be one step ahead of most operations intended to subdue him and his forces. This intellect coupled with his incredible strength has made him the top criminal in the Milky Way Galaxy, a title which only succeeds in drawing in more potential pirates to his side.

Ridley is capable of exhaling a napalm blast from his throat, presumably from two separate glands within his mouth which meet with one another and ignite upon touching mid-stream. Ridley reportedly possesses the ability to render himself invisible or camouflaged to a high degree, possibly through the use of an alien analog to some Earth animal’s Chromatophores, such as octopuses. Ridley also appears to be able to regenerate upon consuming living tissue, likely, his body repurposes the cells to form a temporary “patch” until his own cells can regenerate the wound.
