Finally found some more time to work on this guy. Obviously anything from the neck up (and the hands) is still flat-shaded. Haven't gotten to them yet. But the diffuse and normal maps for the clothing is done.
Haven't done a legitimate spec pass yet. Right now the spec map is literally two colors. Dark gray for all the clothes and very light gray for the buttons and buckle. lol. Very placeholder.
This is in Maya - sshot from the viewport, using one of our real-time shaders from work ^_^;; Haven't gone into tweaking the shader settings yet either, so it's very bare bones right now.
Continued props to *Marcusstratus who's textile work inspired me to make this guy.

hope you are still working on this! I've watched you go from "ergh...Zbrush? wth is that?" to being realllyy impressive at it and I cant wait to see this finished to show off your next gen prowess!

It's actually been almost-done for weeks now - textured the head, hands, etc. like... a month ago? Been struggling with shaders though, since the ones I was using refuse to sort the alphas properly, and I haven't had a lot of time to open the file back up to fiddle with it in a while.

Greatly done! From the thumbnail I recognized the *Marcusstratus 's design and it's true the clothes and crafts he does are very inspirating!
This dude you made looks very nice, I'd love to see him hang around some industrial place with steam and all...
Just maybe more texture on the skin that is very smooth and clean at the moment, maybe a little facial hair shadow and a little bit of dirt would look nice^^

Yeah - haven't gotten to the skin at all yet - says so in the description. Hat is still untextured at this point as well.
