Oh man, I had this idea for my starter! Even the extra stuff like the aboriginal art and the poison spur in males. Luckily your one has elements of fountains and jugs. So I guess they won't be too similar, although I may have to alter the design a bit.
Back on subject, I think the design is fantastic. I don't know what's up with that massive head crest, but it makes it look awesome. It doesn't just look like an overgrown duck (which a lot of platypus fakemon do) and has a nice theme around it. The colour scheme goes well with the design and the way it only has two colours in it makes it look natural and flowing. The simple change of tone in certain areas really catches the eye, and the use of it on the more interesting parts of the design like the water tail and the beak makes a great fakemon to look at.
However, there's certainly room for improvement. You need a little more practise in anatomy, for example its right leg joins at the wrong place. Although that may just be the perspective, which I was just getting on to. The head (which looks slightly distorted, again anatomy) seems to be tilted to the left and is not looking in quite the same direction as the position of his legs would suggest. The ones in the forefront look fine, but the ones in the background look paper thin. The right foot seems to be tilted in the same direction as the left foot due to the claws, but because it is so thin compared to his other foot and the pattern on his shoulder is on the opposite side it crates this weird effect where the hand is twisted 90 degrees to the left. On the shading, I don't know much about using a computer to do it, but it doesn't seem quite right, like on the stomach it is not curved around it and thus makes it look like a knife edge. And this is just a small thing, but with the water it would look a bit more realistic if it had a little more shape to it; make it curve in places, have little water droplets coming off and add some more frothy parts.
All in all, I'd say it had more pros than cons, it just looks the other way round because it too longer for me to describe the bad parts. And sorry 'bout the wall of text, I tend to go on a bit. Anyway, well done, I really like this fakemon .

Yep, all good and valid points thanks.
As my inactivity suggests this isn't something I have time to pursue, Fakemon was a way for me to get across some ideas with the basic drawing ability I have. Always room for improvement but I wasn't striving for perfection with these things.

I think this is my favorite out of your fakemon. The design is awesome and so is the whole idea of the type and attack differences between the genders.
