I love the smell of fresh water, the taste, the feel of it. Holding you closely, as we drift where ever the moving water takes us.When first lay eyes on you, I never saw such a rare and beautiful aquatic being. You're a fresh water, you're different, that's what caught my attention. An EEL, I felt strange when I first made physical contact with you. You're delicate as I am, and your body is very strong as I am. I couldn't stop thinking about you, I only think of one person who's part of my life I chose. I did not expect it, I did not think my life will evolve into something beautiful than dangerous.
When we finally became one, I felt so emotionally full, of happiness, sensation and complete I ever imagined of. I didn't thought I needed you most.

First of all I need to say that you've done a superawesome job with the color difference between the two. The way you've worked with the colors on the purple one is seriously good, and I can't really stop staring because I like it so much. The tail is also extremely good at the purple character, while on the brown one I'm a big fan of the face. It look so natural, and you've done a good job!
And for some things to be improved. On the purple character, I feel like the second ear is missing. What you could do is to draw it behind the other one, so it still shows. Because right now they're like "straight on line" if that makes any sense. Just make it show, and the image will get a bit more deep feeling, just like that!
And as I read in your description, the brown characters chest. At this point it's a little messed up because of the way his arm bends backwards towards the other character. For a lot of good reference pictures and tutorials you can go here: [link]
I actually tried to use thumbs in this critique, but the thumbs wouldn't work when I hit the "preview" button >.< Gawd. Annoying.

lol Ok, maybe I can do major edit on this piece and see how much I can improve on it with the other's arm and my persona's ear. |D And the guy's chest. Specially my attempt to improve on shading for realistic, we'll see how it pans out.
