This is my submission for 's contest. I hope I made it on time ^^b. It was fun to do, once I figured out the best way to make feathers ¬¬. But yeah, I'm pleased with the results. Maybe I'll retouch it some more in the future, but for now I need to rest.Visual Reference: [link] from

Hmmm, it's hard to say. For this one, probably around 15-20 hrs. since I had to make a little research on feathers and experimenting with the best ways to make them, plus making the best brushes for them.
Hmmm... I think I'm gonna try making more of these in the future. They're actually fun to make

The colouring is purely BEAUTIFUL.
the details in the eye itself is amazing, you've even got the tiny watery shine in the corner. But the feathers are what really amaze me! even though they're so tightly packed together you still managed to make them look soft and well...FEATHERY! ^___^

it's such a beautiful and detailed image, too bad it's not part of something bigger. when i saw it as a thumbnail i thought it was a detail shot of a larger image.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But since the theme of the contest were 'eyes', I decided to keep the attention to only that part of the face. Who knows? Maybe I'll make her a full character in the future XD. Thanks for the comment.
