I haven't drawn a proper digital picture of this guy (program) in years. I've done a few pendoodles, some of which are on my art blog, but it feels like a major injustice to not draw XANA digitallyironically, this started out as a pendoodle

Interesting, how you've drawn it with slightly different lines. The model on the right looks like a doll and I really likes the eye.
The only little problem (for me), is that you give him an emotion. A neutral face is what suits him best

I mean, I can see where you're coming from. For a long time I also thought it would be best for him to show No Emotion.
And, mostly, I do give him a neutral expression a lot. However, honestly, it gets boring drawing him with no expression whatsoever, and additionally, I like to think that he does have a limited capacity for emotion

You got point right here, drawing the exact same face would give the impression to do the same drawing over and over again.
After all if he get a human form he got to learn about emotion they are crucial to us.
And I will never recomand enought the "xana lives" fanfiction for that.
