Any excuse to paint Johnny. . .I'm actually looking forward to this movie, it seems like it will be fun.
By the way, is it just me, or did anyone else immediately think Barnabas the Barmy or Mister Collins when they read his name?
If it looks rushed it's because it was.

How atmospheric is this? The bats in the background are unique. This has all the hallmarks of a painting done long ago by an itinerant portrait painter, come to set up his easel on the Collins estate. Dark and vague in the coloration of both clothing and background, yet light and delicate in the highlights upon the face, it all sets a mood that is haunting. Barnabas' gaze is at once cold and skeptical--he's sizing you up in that inestimable fashion of his.
