written from the heart-It tricks you into wanting it
Deceives you through your heart
And just when you believe in it
It rips your soul apart
It tears through your flesh
Like worms through soil
Makes your life one of misery
And creates so much turmoil
This horror has no physical form
Yet everyone knows it's name
The horror's name is LOVE
And we're all just pawns in its twisted little game

Love is more than hatred,
Which slices at your soul,
And leaves you tattered, battered -bruised,
Without a hand to hold.
Hate's cold negating winters,
That freeze your whole insides,
Leave nothing but a vacuum,
Of anger, pain and pride.
But love is all that's shining,
The early morning sun,
Revealing all that's perfect,
The light in everyone.
Perhaps love takes some chances,
Maybe the risks can fail,
At least we all have lived a day,
And seen what life entails.
