I always sit and stare at the baryonyx skelleton at the natural history museum... I kidna feel proud that such a kewl dino can be foudn so close to home. I love your pic, baryonyx and other family members and definatly some of my fav dinos.

Yes, that's a nice piece, although it's not complete. The crocodile-like snout and the huge thumb claw are very impressive. That dinosaur probably lived in other European marshes and deltas during the Early Cretaceous.
Thanks for your comments.

your paleo botany is astounding. i dont deal with plants meself. i just draw plants to fill in space when i do.
lovelylovely plants... such variety .. all nicely rendered and placed together.
the bary doesnt fit in a tad.. and the feet I always feel should look elegant. I dont know what to say.

Number and kind of details on plants is wonderful. Maybe the Baryonyx needed more work on it, But the overall effect is very good ^^.
Is that proven by fossils that it had a crest on its back?

I first thought to add more pattern details on the skin, like darker lines... but finally I didn't, I thought it'd have made the drawing a bit confused. Free to each one to imagine the colours, tis not worse. PAH.
The dorsals are quite high, not as much as on Suchomimus I think, but they may have made a crest on its back, yes.
Thanks for your comments, Irene.

Many thanks. I've tried a slightly different technique on this one. Finally it turns out quite well.
