Description I spoke with a Man

The sardonic man with acrid words
He laughs at all that he sees

Solemn words beseeching a grin
As he converses on hate and disease

At first I was shocked
And listened, ill at ease
But when he parted

I had a glimpse of the world he sees

Irony

Wow. I really love this poem.

I read this quickly a few days ago, and it's been stuck in my mind ever since. I had to come back and check it out again. The rhyme scheme here is tight and useful, and the entire poem is pointed and precise.

Very nice.
