Description Incarceration

i traveled through day and night
through seasons both warm and cold
though the years did pass, i did not die
only ever i did grow old

but time wanders on, and on, and on
and the bonds that bind wear thin
my crumbling form I looked upon
then a sigh clawed out from within

with a requiem for a lullaby
the moment came to pass
i closed my eyes, my humanity died
a spirit i became at last

a sanguine moon did ride high that night
the night my chains were broke
a truth was told in that ruddy light
though no one could hear what i spoke

i liked this alot. especially the words choses like "saguine moon," and " a requiem for a lullaby"
