Description
I found this place when I was little and I used to go exploring through it. Never thought I'd actually be living in it one day. Thinkin' it was built somewhere Pre-Mushroom War and as you can see it's not exactly in the best of shape anymore. I've managed to fix up a few things over the years and the inside looks a lot better than the outside does, really. The vines are pretty happy here and they may actually be the only thing keeping this deathtrap still standing! But hey, for now and for who knows how long, it's home.(( This didn't really come out how I wanted it too but eh, it'll work :I Anyways, you'll be able to see the inside of the house later on. In some of the other questions I answer I'll have Thorn be in various rooms of the house so you'll get to see little glimpses of it that way :3

*Thorn laughs lightly and gazes up fondly at her vine covered home* Heh, yeah well my vines are about the only thing keeping the house up anymore. The place is pretty old so it probably would have come tumbling down years ago if it weren't for the vines. And they make the place homey too.

*She smiles as she looks forward at her home and then points up to one of the balconies on the right wing of the manor* That's my room. There's about five other bedrooms in this place I could have chosen but that one comes with a much better view with the balcony and all.

*Thorn chuckles a little and shakes her head* A "handful" doesn't even describe the trouble I go through trying to keep this place from caving in on me! I try to do as many repairs as possible in my spare time but it always seems like when I fix one thing, something else breaks and needs fixing. Thankfully the vines are keeping the place standing pretty well or it probably would have crumbled years ago.

(( Alrighty, hmmmmm....... let's seeeeee........... ))
*Thorn is strolling down a dirt path through the forest after having checked on some of the poisonous foliage she looks after in the area. As she makes her way over the top of a small hill, her eyes then catch something stationed off to the side of the road. She walks up to the object slowly to see that it's a large cart holding several trinkets and supplies around it. A merchant's cart no doubt. She tilts her head a little as she silently examines some of the merchandise and picks up a few of the trinkets to get a better look at them*

*Kazaa sat in its kart as it was slowly pulled by a little robotic dog like creature. It seems to not notice the girl looking at the trinkets. How ever, it dose seem to be aware of some of the poisonous plants in the area, and dose its best to avoid them. The kart continues until it gets to a small opening in the trees and stops, the dog stops pulling and jumps into the kart. And Kazaa walks out to examine the area*

*After putting one of the trinkets down, she looks up to see someone step out of the cart. She watches as he looks over the area and thinking that maybe she can help, she steps forward from around the cart* .......... anything in particular you're lookin' for?

*The figure seems to be excited that someone is near by* Oh hello! I am The Great Kazaa! Traveling Shop Keeper of OOO! I was just looking for a place to rest during the night, but ive always got time to help a customer find what they need!

*Her eyes widen slightly from his enthusiastic introduction and she then chuckles a bit* Oh well um, it's nice to meet ya Kazaa. I'm Thorn. I noticed your cart here and I was just checking out some of your merchandise. You have some pretty interesting stuff.

Kazaa: Yes I do indeed! I have everything a persons heart could ever desire! Its my responsibility to give people what they want most. I meet lots of people on my travels and all of them have different personalitys, and desires. I have to please all of them by giving them what they want

*Thorn nods a little bit and smiles* Well that makes sense. Gotta make sure you're stocked with practically everything that anyone could ever want. Good sales tactic.

*Kazaa lightly laughs and begins to walk towards the young, attractive, mysterious woman. It approaches her slowly and calmly, as if it were walking up to a shy animal, also making sure to avoid any poisonus plants around. Once he reaches her, it bows and says in a soft calming voice* And what are you doing out here?

*She smiles a bit and gestures towards the surrounding area* Well, I was just walking along and happened to notice your cart here so I thought I'd take a look. I was passing by after I had done my routine of checking on some of the plants around here. See, I'm a Nature Elemental and I look after and take care of some of the surrounding plant life. Mainly the poisonous and carnivorous ones.

Well, I must admit, that seems mighty noble of you *lightly laughs and begins to look around the forest again, trying to find more of this poison and carnivorousness plants now. Ill admit, I know a thing or two about defending. But may I ask you, are there any dangerous things that want to hurt your plants?, and if so you need some help for a bit? I dont mind lending a hand and service to anyone trying to protect there home. Its the one thing everyone should have after all

*She smiles a bit and shakes her head* No, there's not really anyone threatening them. At least not at the moment anyways. Trust me, they can take care of themselves pretty well. But the really large carnivorous plants sometimes get in trouble with the hero and adventurers and then...... yeah. So with those guys I just go around and make sure they're well fed so they don't go attacking travelers and then the adventurers will leave them alone when they're not a threat to anyone.

Wow, mighty brave of you to do that. Ill take it thats why nothing attacked my kart on the way here, and I guess that means I have to thank you in some way shape or form. So tell you what, how about I help you feed these guys once or twice and then we will call it even? Sound good? *the cloaked creature seems to be a bit excited by the thought of this, but also sounds as if it really wants to help out, it speaks as it almost is in huge debt to her because of her actions and really wants to pay her back for her kindness*

But um...... just make sure you're careful around them alright? They wouldn't think about trying to eat me but....... I can't exactly guarantee the same with anyone else. *she chuckles weakly and smiles sheepishly*

* Im in debt to you more ways then you think *The figure points to the kart that it arrived in* You see that? That is the closest thing to a home I have sense I was forced out of mine. It has all of my treasures and goods that I try to make people happy with. With out it.. I be lost. So ill gladly help you out in order to repay this debt of gratitude, and as for me *shrugs* dont worry, I have a few tricks up my sleeves *A green aura starts to form around Kazaa, suddenly a transparent green box forms around the traveler* lets see them get threw one of these

*As the strange green barrier suddenly forms around the merchant, Thorn's eyes widen a bit and she hesitates a second before slowly poking at it* How....... how did you do that?

*kazaa lightly laughs as it usually dose when someone is impressed by this, The box starts to fade away back into an aura, and then enters back into the cloak* Its a power my kind has obtained. We can force our life energy out of our bodies and turn it into a physical object. This is used to create powerful shields and walls. How ever we have to be careful, for there are a few things that know how to easily get threw these walls. And if they do it hurts our bodies greatly. Our biggest foe is King Worm because of his diet consisting of life energy. How ever there are still ways to defend against them

*She continues to curiously poke at the barrier until it suddenly disappears and enters back into the cloak. She takes a small step back from the surprise of this and then chuckles lightly* Well that certainly is pretty impressive. So just what is your kind exactly?

Kazaa: Im a Xertin, my whole kind can do this, or so I am told. I dont know them to well sense I was adopted into the garbage kingdom at a young age. Unfortunantly as long as that horrible man rules it, I can return in peace

*Tain looks up at the delapadated manor with a sense of awe. He had seen castles before, yes. But there was something... Impressive at seeing a building this old still standing.* Woah... Thorn... Live here?

*Thorn nods a little and chuckles as she looks up towards the vine covered structure that she resided in* Yup, this is home sweet home….. more or less. But it's actually a lot cozier than it looks. Definitely better than nothing. *she smiles a little as she walks forward and the slightly browned grass crunches underneath her feet* Would you like to see the inside of it? Trust me, it looks better than the outside does.

*The vines clinging to the walls of the house move slightly as they approach and she smiles as she lightly pats the truck of one of them as she passes by and walks up the steps to the front door* One day, when I was little, I was walking around in this area when it started to rain. Home was kinda too far away so I looked around here to find a place to stay dry until the storm passed. Took me awhile but I eventually stumbled onto this place. And ever since I found it, I would come back and just explore around the place. It was like my own secret little playground and I loved it! *she smiles fondly and takes the doorknob in her hand* And I guess now it's home. But um….. just be careful where you step. This place is pretty old and some of the floorboards aren't exactly um…. safe. *she chuckles weakly and pushes open the door. They walk into the entryway of the large manor and across the aged and damaged marble floor. Although parts of the floor and some of the stone walls around them were obviously worn from the several years without care, the furniture scattered throughout the room was in almost new condition, with the exception of a little dust. Two large archways adorned the entrances to the rooms that were off to each side of them and several tendrils of the vines creep along the walls and floors and would cautiously move out of the way of their footsteps. The large remains of a once elaborate staircase now lay in ruins after having collapsed but one of the vines has now taken its place and its large thorns are spread out to create a substitute for steps to the upper level of the house*

*Tain walks into the grand entrance glancing at the many vines and dilapidated structures. He silently wonders why such a structure was left behind. His hand grazes along the smooth surface of a nearby vine as he walks by.* Thorn found when young huh?... Must've taken awhile to fix up. Though vines probably help a lot. *He smiles a little.*

*She walks into the center of the room and smiles as she slowly circles about in place while looking over some of the home's features* Yup, I've been living here for four years and I've managed to get it into somewhat livable conditions. And yeah, the vines were a big help with lifting the heavy things and stuff. Now the vines are pretty much the only thing keeping this place still standing! Obviously there's still a long way to go in repairs, but I fix what I can. Better then it used to be at least. *she chuckles a little as she leans back against the fractured beam of the banister to the staircase*

*He smiles as he brings his gaze from the surroundings back to her.* Well. Tain certainly likes Thorn's... Eh... Decorator's touch. *Tain smirks at the friendly joke.*

*She glances over towards him before giving out with a light laugh* Oh sure! Nothing quite brightens up a home more than that "antique furniture poorly fixed up with glue and tape" look. *she shakes her head a little and laughs*

*Tain chuckles as well. But his laughter is cut short. With the house being in such an advanced state of decay, it has had some trouble holding up Tain's large frame. Apparently standing in this spot was a bad decision. The floorboards creak, crack, and quickly give way. Tain yelps as he falls through a him sized hole to the basement below. He groans as he hits the floor but manages to call up.* Tain ok!.......... Ow.......

*Thorn's eyes widen as Tain suddenly disappears from sight and goes crashing through the floorboards. The surrounding vines hover around the hole he created and Thorn quickly rushes over to it as well as she peers down into the darkness to try and get an idea on where he landed. When she hears him call out she gives a relieved sigh and steps onto a nearby vine which lowers her down slowly into the basement. She then steps off of the vine and onto the floor as she kneels down beside him. She looks up at the gaping hole above them and then chuckles weakly as she looks back down at him* You sure you're ok? That was quite a drop.

*he gingerly rubs a sore spot on his back as he stands.* Yeah. Tain fall from higher places than that. *He looks up at the hole and murmurs.* But not by much...

*She stands up herself and chuckles slightly as she walks around in the darkness* Um alright, as long as you're ok. *It takes her a second as she stumbles forward to find something but her hand then falls on a nearby lantern and she quickly turns it on* Well uh, I guess since we're already here, we'll continue with the tour of the house. Sooooo….. welcome to the basement! *she laughs lightly and picks up the lantern as she walks forward. From the glow of the light, a few piled up boxes and some dusty broken furniture can be seen but in the center of the room is the base of the many vines that grew throughout the house. The thick trunks of the vines were growing up from the broken concrete flooring and were obviously flourishing quite well as their many tendrils ran up the basement walls and traveled throughout the rest of the house*

*A small smile along with a bit of an embarrassed blush from his praise passes over her face as she lightly pats the side of the vine* It's… nothing, really. Just that Nature Elemental's touch, I guess. *a thin tendril from the vine reaches out and she gives a soft giggle as it wraps around her shoulders and lightly squeezes her as if it was giving her a hug*

*Tain smiles at the affection the vines give her.* Vines not seem to think it nothing. *He states as he walks up to the central stalk and studies it. It's larger than most tree trunks. No wonder the vines weren't having any trouble holding up the house.*

*A warm smile slowly spreads across her face as she gazes up at the towering vine with its many appendages branching out in various directions to extend across the rest of the house* It's one of my oldest living vines, if not the oldest. When I first found this place, I planted one of my seeds here in the basement and, well, as you can see it's thrived rather well here. Hmmm, they grow up so fast. *she chuckles a little and moves the lantern to shine the way to the exit* Welp, would you like to see the rest of the house now?

*Tain smiles at her and says.* Yeah. Sound good. *He walks over to where she is standing and smiles warmly. He found it amazing that she was able to do something like that. He found her amazing.* Lead the way.

*She returns his smile with her own and then moves the lantern in her hand to locate the stairs. Once she spots them in the soft glow of the light she walks towards them and begins making her way up the somewhat rickety steps* Oh and um, make sure keep watching your step around the house. We don't want you uh, "visiting" the basement again. *she chuckles sheepishly and opens up the basement door that leads them into the kitchen. The kitchen is rather quaint and simple compared to some of the more extravagantly built rooms but shares the same state of disrepair. Contrary to the cracked stone walls and aged flooring, the appliances are completely clean and looking almost like new. In the back of the room are large french doors that lead out into the backyard of the manor where the view of a crystal blue lake sitting off in the distance can be seen. After turning off the light from the lantern, Thorn walks to the center of the kitchen area, places the lantern down on a nearby counter and smiles as she gives a small shrug* So um, welcome to the kitchen.

*Tain doesn't answer. He is staring intently at a blender on her countertop. The metal, plastic, and glass device was foreign to him and as such certainly required inquiry.* Thorn. What this? And what it for?

*Thorn steps over to the counter to see what he was looking at and then smiles a bit to herself as she watches him study the blender. She found it rather cute the way he fascinated over such simple and common things. The bit of wonderment that lit up his face as he discovered a new object for the first time was enough to bring a warm smile to her lips* It's um, a blender. And like its name, it chops up and blends things together. *She pops off the lid from the top of it and then points down to the blades set at the bottom of the little machine* You put fruit and stuff in here and then press this button to grind it up. Like this. *she presses a small red button on the front of the blender a few times and the blades rapidly spin around as the machine gives off a loud whirring sound*
