Rarity: I still don't know why you have to eat those beautiful gems, but if Spike says it's healthy for baby dragon scales, well, gems it is. *lies down on the carpet but keeps an eye on Dia*

Dia: *finishes the gem quietly, but refuses to drink the bottle and starts getting cranky*

Rarity: Dia darling, please, I know you don't like the bottled milk, but it's certainly the best I can do. After all, your teeth are already starting to grow in.

Dia: Ma.. Mama..mil mil

Rarity: Oh? Ohhhhhhhhh oh noooo. Oh nonononoNO I see what you're thinking but I won't have any of it.

Dia: mil mil, mil mil!

Rarity: But....you have sharp......dragon teeth.....

Dia: *starts to tear up and turn on the puppy dog eyes*

Rarity: Oh, for goodness----- fine, fine. Don't cry, Dia.

Dia: *happily starts feeding*

Rarity: OUCH! Oww...darling, please, your teeth are so sharp and your breath is smoking hot! Owowowowowow *holding back tears* I can't TAKE THIS ANYMORE!! *gets up and goes to other side of the room as Dia toddles after her*

*2 hours later*

Spike: Honey?? Dia? I'm home! Huh. Where is everypony?

Rarity: *outraged voice from another room* SPIIIIIKKKKEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Spike: *runs* Rarity? What's--

Rarity: I've been trying to feed her for two hours! She won't eat g-gems, she won't eat her hay or her mushy gross baby food, she won't eat anything but milk!! Do you KNOW what it's done to me?? Look at this!

Dia: *crying* Mama, maaa...

Spike: Wellll, there is another way we can try.

Rarity: Really?? Pray tell.

Spike: The thing is, baby dragons are instinctively supposed to eat only what their parents give them, like gems from the hoard, or milk. Otherwise, it's pretty dangerous for them to go outside the nest and eat other things.

Rarity: But.. I don't want to give up any more milk or my lovely gems..*sniffles*

Spike: Well, I'll try to gradually get her onto a more ponyish diet. You won't like what I'm gonna do, but... do you have a couple gems, some hay and milk?

Rarity: *tiredly uses magic to bring the bottle of milk and food to Spike's feet*

Spike: Yep, this is perfect! *starts chewing up the food*

Rarity: Spike dear, I thought that..was for the baby??

Spike: Jus er minute! *swallows*

Rarity: ...............well if you were hungry as well, you could just have said so dear. I was just about to get dinner ready once the baby--

Spike: *belches and Dia looks over*

Spike: *gagging and going cross-eyed*

Dia: *opens mouth*

Spike: *regurgitates into Dia's mouth*
