It looks fine, well maybe you could have used thick letters for the signpost.
Anyway it looks nice, no need to add anything else in the background.

yeah i know the words on the signpost dont stand out too much, i tried to use a similar font to what is already on street signs and it just turned out that way

No, the event is called Rosny Stock, it includes a couple of bands who do rock music studies at the college
