I've just finished reading Divergent by Veronica Roth and I have to say, I really enjoyed it! I love dystopian fiction, and the idea of factions based upon human virtues seemed a really new and refreshing book idea.
This is a quick sketch of the protagonist Tris Prior - according to the book, she is short, has "dull blond" hair, large blue eyes and a long nose. She also has a tattoo of three flying birds on her collarbone (you can only see one in this sketch though. Also as you can see, I really suck at drawing birds
), a tattoo of the faction Abnegation on her right arm, and a tattoo of the faction Dauntless on her left arm. So yep. It looks like I've briefly switched to a cartoon-like style lately...Also, I think I messed up the nose again, and the mouth looks too small?

As a random bit of trivia, I competed the "Faction Quiz" on the Divergent fans website and got the following results:
- 2 'points' for Candor
- 2 'points' for Erudite
- 2 'points' for Amity
- 1 'point' for Abnegation
Looks like I don't have enough courage for Dauntless haha

I like this style you've adopted. It'll go back and forth once you play around with realism for a bit. I think that the nose and mouth are drifting down a bit, but it's not as noticeable. Keep practicing!
