I wanted to paint some mountain cliffs for this one, and since by the time I painted this I had just got my hands on Sketchup I took the chance and built some (really) rough shapes to use as a base for the mountains. It turned out better than I had expected, and having the basic shapes underneath really made the volume rendering easier. I might see if I find more uses for the software.Related content

Thank you! I've always loved muted tones, but I guess adding some saturation to the piece as well makes them stand out more. Guess mixing is the key.
