I really was inspired by fairy/ changeling lore of them stealing human children. I love stories like in the movies Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and The Hallow. In my version of the story however she ended up with it, she really does care about this baby and wants to keep it to herself. I like to leave my artwork open to interpretation. If you feel something else from the painting, you can't be wrong just because your story doesn't match mine. Thanks for all your kind words
