Such a wonderful work! I love your famous touch of blue, that sign your style! And to see in real how you do lace, is amazing! Looks so realistic and wonderful effect a photo or scanner cannot take!
I love the details of the web beyond her... looks like cotton... or it was intentional?
And her nails!!! I want her nail art!
I always wish to draw a Catrina, but everytime i saw works, and now your beautiful piece, i reminds i'm not ok for those type of genre, lol!

Thanks so much Stefania for all you kind words. I do really love working with cerulean blue. Even when I try to stay away from it, I can't I'm very pleased with the scan on this painting for once. It actually turned out looking almost like the actual piece. I was trying to go for a frozen spider web look. It was a little more difficult to pull off than I though it would be. You recent paintings have been all interesting and amazing subjects. I look forward to seeing what else you will be working on

Thanks so much! I initially was planning on going with all warmer toned colors, but after I came up with the spider web idea decided I wanted the blue. I usually like to mix colors and just make it up as I go

Awww thank you Katerina. It took a lot of painting for me to figure out the best way to get smoothness unless they are darkerΒ tonesΒ is usually to add a little bit of grey in each color I mix. It has more of a watered down consistency compared to the other colors I work with making it adhere to the board better. It took a little bit of practice for me to perfectΒ and doesn't work for everything, but I found it definitely helps.
