convinced me to take it waaayyy back old school!Tyris Flare was the amazon warrior in a game older than many of youz...1989's "Golden Axe". She was among the very firstest kick ass ladies of video games. I can't think of any before her.
I tried to stay as true to the game as I could remember.
As you played you had to collect blue bottles, the more you were packing the the stronger your special magic attack grew. I think if you had 3 bottles little flaming birds came out of the bottle and did damage to enemies. Once you got the max amount of bottles She's be able to summon a huge Dragon that breathed fire alls over the place.

I remember the game well. You either wanted to play her or the dwarf because she had the best magic and the dwarf had the best standard attacks.

You're right. I don't remember ever choosing the generic hero in blue. His magic was even kinda lame. She and the dwarf were definitely the better choices. My favorite part was kicking those lil'dudes till their bags emptied.

Thanks Rey! This turned out amazing! way better than i thought it would be. Tyris should only be done in her glory days of Golden Axe. I have the original carts and Beat Rider for the 360 and they ruined her in Beast Rider. Art like this keeps it old school. I thought Golden Axe had some of the most bad ass character from Tyris all the way to Death Adder. IF you guys have a 360 get Sonic's ultimate collection. It has all 3 golden axe titles for the genesis or download it on the Wii Virtual Console.
Also, of course line work was amazing and this is an awesome pose.

Hehe, Golden Axe was a great gaaaaame. I still remember watching my brother playing it. Full of dragons and cool creatures. I must see if DOS Box has it so I can play again.

Ohh, I love the idea you used from the game with the potion bottle and magic! I remember seeing the blue potion bottles, but not what they did! Great touch! And as I said on Y Messenger you are mad fast and do such beautiful work in that time.

The best thing about those bottles was that you had to literally kick the asses of these little trolls to get them. They had these sacks as big as themselves full of food and potion and you had to beat them "prizeless". It was funny, guess you had to be there (not in diapers) to enjoy it.
