Started and completed in one day, i am amazing XD. I worked on this puppy for 12 hours straight, i havent eaten since i started. As promised Sab, its finally done. Finished it 5 minutes before the deadline of her contest.Really tested my limits on this one, glad its done

Your coloring and sense of composition has really improved, you even took a stab at coloring backgrounds. Great piece. The only thing I would say would be to blend the coloring in the trees a little bit. The whole piece is very very nice. ^^ Great Work

yes you have, you've vastly improved. I havent done any digital coloring in a while, due to some crazy school work, but this quarter I am hoping to have weekly updates. lol. We'll see how well I stick to that. You might have to yell at me every now and then to keep my ass in gear. ^.~ lol.

i near graduation so these past few quarters were hard, but I need to start to pump out some portfolio quality pieces, both in maya as well as my traditioal work as well. All my 2d work need to take several steps up in the next few quarters to come. lol.

ps. I love how dynamic this looks, even though there is little action, just the play with the direction of her hair and the pose of the foot, and then the strap on the scabard, nice.

to be honest i like linework a lot...this is is nice coloring..though could need more improvement...one suggestion from me:shadows are not black like ppl usually imagine...i can link you to nice tutorial for skin if you want to...you dont need to color exactly like this lady does but her use of colors for skin is one of the best in my opinion ---> [link]

Thanks for the tutorial link. Actually on the skin that is black or grey, its greens and purples, they just mixed together weird. Yeah this coloring is far from my best, its rushed but i like it overall

Awesomly colored, love the detail in the sword case
However the eyes look a bit too "strong", when viewing you really focus your sight on them, wich is a shame for the amazing coloring of things like the swordcase and hair.
Maybe if the eye outlines were a dark-brown, or the eyes a deeper gray.
But of course that doesn't take away this is yet again an awesome piece of work,
