Full name: Isla Hoshikawa ( People also call her Aira because it is the Japanese pronounciation of Isla )

Name Meaning: Isla= Name Variation of 'Island', Hoshi= Wish, Kawa= River

Hair: Blonde ( Mid back length, her bangs are tied up in a front pony tail and the rest o her hair is fashioned back into a half bun)

Eyes: Sky blue ( Similar to Haruka, Her eyes reflect what she loves the most, which is being outdoors, looking at the sky and feeling free )

Age: 16 ( ok, I do no men to offend anyone of their Free! Ocs, but I heard that most mary sue female Free! Ocs and other Ocs are always 16 years of age. Yes, I made my Oc 16 years as well, but this is because it suits her personality more

Personality: Isla is a kindhearted, shy, gentle and friendly young girl who is known to be quite mature for her age. Isla's personality can sometimes switch from the usual quiet, sensible and shy girl, to the slightly cheeky and charming nature. She is also independent and quite hardworking when she carries out tasks. When she is scared of something, she will try her best to overcome her fears. Although Isla doesn't mind being alone, she also does not mind being in the company of her friends and others. She would do anything to help her friends with a problem. Isla is also quite a strong-willed person . Her curious side can sometimes get the best of her. Isla respect's the boys love for swimming and is still amazed and admires them for their swimming skills and their strong friendship.

Likes: Iced Tea, reading books ( especially romance novels ), The Beach, The outdoors

Fave foods: Squid, Noodles, salads, sushi, strawberries, fruit ( Isla sometimes eats cakes sweets, but she doesn't eat them often, saying that they are quite unhealthy. She makes a rule that she buys herself sweets one for the start of the week and one for the end of each week )

History/Bio

Isla Hoshikawa was born in London. A few months after when Isla was born, she and her family moved to Japan to Iwatobi town. Isla attended the same elementary school that Haruka and the others went.

One day, Isla was walking down the hallway when she heard people nearby. Isla went off to investigate and found herself right in front of the Iwatobi swim club. Isla felt curious, so she decided to sneak in to see what was happening. When she got in, she realized that the children in swim club were in the middle of a race. Isla began to admire the club members for their swimming skills, commenting to herself that they were pretty amazing.

Isla was still in awe when the race finished that she got out her camera and took a photo of the club members. A boy with blonde hair saw the flash of the camera and called out to ask who was their, which startled Isla and caused her to drop her waterproof camera near the water and to hide behind a wall. A young brown haired boy tried to coax her out of hiding, but she was to shy and felt guilty to come forward. The boy picked up her camera and started to walk towards her and held out the camera, saying that there's no need to be shy and reassured her that everything was ok and introduced himself as Makoto. Isla's shyness started to fade away and she stepped out to reveal herself and got her camera, but she still felt a little guilty. A boy with black hair, who revealed himself to be Haruka and another boy called Rin asked Isla why she took a photo of them. Isla began to confess, saying that she was amazed by their swimming and that she simply just have to take a picture of them. She apologized for sneaking up on them and asked for their forgiveness. The boys forgave her for the incident, but to show that she was truly sorry, she decided to give them the picture that she had taken. The Makoto and Nagisa commented that she was really good at taking photos and that the picture that she took captured the moment perfectly. Isla thanked them for the compliment, but panicked when she realized that she had to be somewhere and that she was late.

From that day on, she hadn't sneaked into the club ever again, but the compliment of her good photo taking skills rang in her mind. She decided that maybe she can take up the hobby of taking pictures of nature, which soon became her favorite hobby. Isla sometimes see the boys from time to time, but she hadn't made any contact with them or talked to them ever since. A few months Later, Isla moved to a different school, cutting of her ties with her friends. Isla soon started to forget about the boys and her encounter with them. It seemed like her encounter with them had never happened and the boys also seemed to have forgotten about her.

Years later, 16 year old Isla transferred to Iwatobi high school as a new student. On her first day she got lost on her way to class and met a girl called Kokoa Kawaguchi, who offered to show where Isla's class was. Kokoa ended up walking Isla around the whole school and showing her different locations, but to her realization and mistake, she forgot to ask what class Isla was looking for in the first place, but Isla forgave her for the mistake. when it was time for recess, a boy and his gang walked up to her and made an attempt to flirt with her, but she kindly and politely rejected their advances. Annoyed at her rejection, one of the bullies took her camera and ran to the school's pool area. The bully threw her camera into the pool and Isla was about to jump in when someone grabbed her wrist and held her back. Isla didn't have to comprehend what was going on, but all she saw what the person looked was that he had blue hair, before he jumped into the water. Isla was relieved when the young man resurfaced and gave her the camera and introduced himself as Rei. The commotion attracted other people near to pool to come over. Isla felt a sense of strange familiarity when she saw a boy with brown hair and green eyes come up to ask if she was ok. Isla suddenly remembered that his name was Makoto. Makoto was slightly confused and shocked about how a new student knew his name, when he looked at the camera that she was holding and remembered the day back in elementary school when he gave a girl her camera that she dropped, which had the same ocean wave design on it. He told Isla about the flashback making her remember the whole event again. The rest of the boys ( Except Rei ) started to remember her and Nagisa told her that they never got her name, which she gladly told them ' Isla Hoshikawa '

- Isla's favorite and most special possession is her water proof wave design camera, which is always seen hung around her neck
- Isla says that her love for taking photos was inspired by Makoto's and Nagisa's comment
- Unlike some of the characters, who's natures and personalities are related to their love for water, Isla's Personality and nature is more related to her love for the sky and freedom.
- Isla's mother taught her how to speak some English. Isla has this comical trait that she mentions English words and phrases when she talks.
