Hovering Eurasian Kestrel.Drawn upon request for Lawrie ...because he likes Kestrels.

Entirely done in SAI...Not sure exactly how many hours this took, but I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it up this morning...Maybe, 6 or 7 hours total...Still learning how to manipulate the brushes.
My fingers went numb a few times. I think I must be holding the tablet pen too hard. lol! Thanks for your faves! They are, as always, greatly appreciated!

This piece is wonderful! When I saw the thumbnail of it I really did think it was a photograph! No joke! Haha! Lovely work you've got here, very lovely. So powerful and majestic, a perfect rendition of a Kestrel
PS: Don't worry about the fingers going numb haha It happens to everyone whose concentrated on their work

Yes I'm new to SAI. New to digital in fact. I do prefer SAI to Photoshop though because it is so much easier to use.
Numb fingers seem to go with digital work, although it could also be attributed to my Carpal Tunnel too.

Really? Wow! O_O you've done so well on this, I'd have assumed you've done it before often~! Very well done for being new to it! 
I concur, SAI is much easier to use than Photoshop. It's simpler but that's kind of what it makes it easier, no? It's just all out there on it's sleeves, not a ton of features and stuff. Just nice and easy.
Still absolutely wonderful to just play with and get to know. I've got a few tutorials on SAI (such as brush tutorials and things) if you want to have a look. I've been using the program for almost 4 years now and I simply adore it

Hahaha again, I concur on that too. I've had numb fingers on multiple occasions when working with digital format. Of course, like you, I have a condition that may 'help' insure I do get numb fingers lol (arthritis)
Either way, in the end, the result of that 'pain' and 'suffering' is certainly worth it, no?

Yes really. I haven't done too many digital paintings. I started out using photoshop, then my daughter told me about SAI. I have since switched completely to SAI. Slowly I am seeing improvements.
Thanks for the tutorials. I'll have to take some time to go through them.
I think if the result of the pain I endure while drawing weren't worth it I would have given up long ago.
