manticore- an half lion, half serpent and scorpion tail creature.the terrible man-eater with three pairs of razor
sharp teeth and had a stupid human lion face.

Huh! These were mentioned in Book of Revelation. They were one of the hoards of demons that tormented the earth (along with Chimeras) in the final judgements in Revelation chapter 9. Based on my study of Genesis and Enoch, it's quite possible these were the mutants created by the fallen watchers when they rebelled against God and started screwing with creation (via genetics). When they died in the Great Flood, they didn't go to heaven or hell but wander the earth as evil spirits since their origin is the earth. Makes me think twice about all those bizarre creatures from Greek myth... not quite myth to me anymore, I think they really saw these things. A forgotten age of humanity.
