Description
This is Hodder, one of the characters from my NaNoWriMo novel this year (I'm continuing work on Runaround, the one I was writing last year).Hodder is a naturalist from a matriarchal, Victorian-style society. His love for science and nature is matched only by his adoration for the Queen- as in, he seriously cherishes the hope of one day being her husband. As a male in the capital, it's a distinct possibility. That is, until he meets those odd-looking dimension hoppers, Pat and Omrie, and all his plans, hopes and dreams for himself are summarily dashed to atoms.
But, at least as a dimension hopper himself, he'll never run out of strange new flora and fauna to study!

Absolutely amazing! I have a soft spot for thin insectoid characters and this guy fills it all up!
Also, the colors, the little skin folds, the patterns on his face and his wings... it's wonderful!

I absolutely adore your characters... I often think there's not a lot of originality left with our ability to share information on the internet and stuff (not in a negative way, just like, thinking, you get it). But man you prove me wrong. Your designs are all beautiful and unique and still simple enough to be memorable and endearing. Really impressive.

And I feel that way sometimes too. Maybe being aware of that sensation helps one to focus on creativity in one's own work? Anyway, I'm glad you like my designs and characters so much!
But you know, you're no slouch either! I think your work is beautiful and your characters are fun and dynamic. If you ever want to do an art trade, I'd be interested.

I really love how the watercolor turned out on his clothing and wings. The mix of colors gives them such a nice texture.

Thanks! Hodder is a gentleman, albeit a rather naive and fragile one (at least at the start of his story). I think he'll be a lot of fun to work with.
