Hey guys!Hope everybody is doing well.
Messy, messy painting of Vega, who is the son of Farorest 's Lombax OC, Meredith, and my OC, Vezevrys.
Purchase the psd file in order to pick through the layers and breeze through the Layer Comps (where I've created a detailed step by step on my thought process).
for those of you who purchase the file, feel free to use the line art to practice coloring under. I'd love to see what you learn!

To access the step by step, go to the Window tab in photoshop and select Layer Comps from the drop-down.

I would say this definitely helps some.
This is just my experience so maybe other people found it easier, but for me it felt like some things were glossed over that someone who's at more of a beginner level like myself when it comes to painting wouldn't know to add.
I'd say the biggest thing is the importance of knowing what/how to color the line art and why. I saw the original line art layer seems to have a reddish color, and the eye specifically being a darker grey. I can see it gives good results, but I don't know how to approach doing that or if there are colors I should avoid using it for.
Overall I can still use it when it comes to painting. I'd love to see a more in-depth one on more detailed paintings sometime
