A commission of Ibuki, from Street Fighter, ordered by my great friend !

For you, Ibuki fans out there, who might be wondering "hey, Pietro, what's with this outfit?", wonder no more, as below you'll find an explanation of how this idea came to be, courtesy of my buddy dracoking8891 :

The idea of Ibuki wearing this outfit came to be when a while back I watched a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 customization video of Kunimitsu, where the guy was trying to recreate Haku’s outfit from the Naruto anime.

Unfortunately, the video is no longer available, but I did manage to save the thumbnail before it was deleted so here’s Kunimitsu in Haku’s outfit, as it appeared in the video.

After that, I thought to myself wouldn’t it be cool to have Ibuki wear that outfit?

So I pictured Ibuki wearing Haku’s outfit along with the combination of Kunimitsu’s fox mask, but I didn’t stop there: I also thought that it would be cool if I made Ibuki into a type of tengu, where she would have two huge black wings on her back. With that it’s how Ibuki became a tengu ninja!

About this drawing: it was drawn on paper, scanned to the computer, and coloured digitally. Here's a pic of my linework for this commission, in black and white, in case you might enjoy seeing some WIP stuff! I thought it looked much closer to manga this way, not just because it's in black and white, but also because of the speed lines, which is a manga device that I love, and I thought it could be a nice fit for this illustration, hopefully making it more dynamic looking!
