This is my submission for the Art Awakens Contest on Tumblr. This piece was an exploration of all different kinds of techniques. It's the first time I have used acrylic paint for something like this. This piece involved using prismacolor pencils, markers, paint, pastels, and ink pens. It was also my first time working on an illustration board. Along with the first timers, I also used some digital media. I took the airbrush on photoshop to add some more seamless fades and blends, especially to provide the glow of the lightsaber. This piece took about a month and a half to complete, slowly chipping away with whatever time I had available (and I made plenty of time). Done with pastels, acrylic paints, color pencils, markers, and ink pens on a 20X30 illustration board.If you would like to support it, go toΒ art-awakens.tumblr.com
