This is hands down the most spectacular illustration of a high level quad ever. Love it!
Any chance we might see Claire in the outfit from the girl at a concert? A quad in latex would be an absolute dream and definitely in keeping with the story.

I might have a go at that somewhere down the line, I suppose it could be considered 'fanart'. It won't be for a while though, I'm working on the Glider Girls story at the moment, I really want to get that moving again.

No, she's quite self-conscious about her leg bag, so she would probably want it covered, so we wouldn't see the level.

You are absolutely right ...
And usually, wearing such a short dress, she even wouldn't have the (opaque or encased) cath bag attached to her calves, but rather fixed behind the legrests.
However, it's attached to her calves here and it seems to be even uncovered and transparent - for whatever reasons, and she did not object ...
(She could be in a - big - private property, feeling unwatched, or, from the surroundings, maybe on the Wailea Beach Path, one of the rare places where she does not mind to be seen as a heavily disabled person in public.)Β
So I think she would not mind if you showed us another angle as well (only if you find the time to do so ...)

Unexpected, and nice! I always make a mental picture of the characters whenever I read a story. It's a strange kind of feeling when you see artwork of the same character later. Was this requested by the author, or something you made on your own accord?

Thanks. The author requested it. I agree that it's strange to see a different face after you've pictured it yourself. The same thing happens when Hollywood makes the movie of a book you've read, or stranger still, when the book gets re-printed and they put the Hollywood actor's face on the cover.
