Description REASONS FOR BEING A LION

I get to sleep 16 hours a day, my lionesses can do all my hunting, I can generaly just mope about like a miserable SOB till I'm old and weak, then I get kicked out of my harem by some young punk, and eventualy I'm torn to shredds by hyenas, but what can ya do, it beats what I have now.

I really like this one. The different colors in his fur and that feel that he is stalking me is very strong. Beautifully done.

i like how realistic it is... it makes me happy there's a scratch on the nose because most people will draw a lion that is perfect, without scars. Lions play rough and the only ones that would be without sratches or scars are the ones that are born in zoos. Way to go Art!!!

Thats a good point! I think the same thing about prople portraits, some are to perfect to look real so paradoxicaly they are not perfect at all .

Thankyou, realism is what I aim at, I am happiest to draw what I see, I try to recreate images on paper to the limits of my pencils. This is one of my personal favourites. Thankyou!
