Nice poem. Yours is so much shorter and precise than mine. xD

Haha, thank you.
I liked yours though, quite a bit more in depth and emotional than mine.

Not bad usually means "I like it" OK means OK, if it were a semi-like I would have said it's ok.

Thank you? :/
I never know how to reply to small, semi-neutral comments.
They never really let me know if you like my work or not.

I am watching this every time I get into devart since it was posted to "unseen artists" (I'm not pretending anything)I just wanted to say that I "understand" what the text says and it bothers me that there are people that even if they read this they wont want to understand this they just wont care and they don't want to see the bigger picture behind that "I'm fine" every time they ask somebody "how are you?" to make cheap conversation. I had to leave a comment here though there is so much to say about this... (sorry for my bad english if there are any mistakes)

Not a problem, your English is fine.
Thank you for the great comment.

This reminds me of psychology class because we were told that is was out of the norm to tell anyone other than I am fine. Our teacher dared us to tell people otherwise and actually tell them of our day to see the reactions we got.. I actually had someone tell me they didn't care and walk off.

My friend and I have a code. We say we're "fine" to each other when we hate life but are too tired to explain.
Thanks for writing this.

My native language isn't English, thats why I don't could give any critique on syntax, rhymes and so on. But I think the message you wanted to transport was very well described. That's to the poem it self.
Now the philosophic side:
I'm very tired of thinking about what other people may think, totaly equal if it is about their lifes in general or about me. I'm simply not intrested in what my oposite may think. That's why I'm not intrested in beeing intrested on how others are doing.
It could be a problem of our boths societies: Beeing arrested in oneself and beeing captived by the question about who we are.
But: If you want to know, if somebody does well or not, you're intrested in & you're mostly intrested in ones doing, if you know him and if you have a personal relationship to him.. (It is a fact, you will surely know)
Isn't it the mainthing?
Why you're describing a moment everyone is talking about, how cursory everyone is, while you could also describe, how magnicifent the real intrest in someone and his feelings really is..?

True. That's what we all say. We lie, but here we don't, really.

The internet does give us a bit more leyway, after all, not seeing whom we are talking to, and finding people who like your ideas...
It's not a problem.

Very true. People tend to be much more open, honest, and willing to share when they have no idea who's at the other side of the chat box.

And even sometimes when they do know who's on the other side.

Haha, sometimes, if they're lucky and feel comfortable with that particular person.

The truth is when people ask how are you? You have a debate in your head for maybe 5 seconds about if they really care, do they want to know the truth, could I trust them with the truth? Then before you know it "I'm fine" has already slipped out your mouth.

Oh, wow, this...kinda made me bummed out...My friends can't be more open with me so they brush off the question like that: "Oh, I'm fine. You?" But I know better... Great poem, even if it only took you thirty seconds XD

This is something that is very common in most countries I believe, for example here in Sweden we also use that. Next question that usually follows would be something in the way of: "What have you been up to?", this also with a common respond disregarding any Actual events that could Actual mean something, or, include something depressing.
Question is, are we all so trained in how to act that we also perceive that no one would actually care if we broke the mandatory replies?
